“Very pleased with this service. I needed to transport a party of 4 with a serious amount of luggage to Edinburgh airport from Berwick upon Tweed, together with a return trip for 2 people. The problem is if you check reviews for any taxi firm you eventually come across a horror story from a disgruntled customer. I chose ATE because I couldn't find anything negative said about them in recent years: that made them stand out from competitors. The booking process was easy - all done online and with a very clear confirmation summary. You can also phone but I didn't find it necessary. About 1-2 weeks before the journey you get an email advising the driver's name and vehicle details including registration number. The size of car was a particular issue for my outward trip, but I got exactly what I requested. On both days of travel there was text/phone contact with the driver beforehand. This all worked smoothly for me. The drivers are independent professionals, and both of mine were courteous and friendly. Altogether a very satisfactory experience. Word of warning: if you search online for this company there is a risk of being diverted to other links, as there are other operators advertising similar services and using similar names. Look for the gold ATE symbol. ”
